CRO were called to help search for a vulnerable missing person who had last been seen at 18.55 the previous day. When CRO arrived at Ribblehead we discovered that the missing person had just approached two police officers and was in their care. A paramedic volunteering for CRO checked the persons medical condition and continued to monitor him until the arrival of Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Volunteer hours: 34
NYF&RS asked for assistance in rescuing a large lamb which had fallen perhaps 9 or 10 metres from the top of Catrigg Foss and was stranded on a ledge between the upper and lower waterfalls. Members were called to a D of E expeditioner (f, 17) who had collapsed while climbing Ingleborough. A phone call to the group’s supervisor established that the person involved had collapsed a second time.
