INCIDENT 11/2024. March 19th TUE 12.26. TOP OF MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE

A walker (f, 40s) slipped on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove immediately above the steps, injuring a wrist and a leg. The first member on scene began assessing her and was soon joined by YAS paramedics from the Air Ambulance who diagnosed a wrist fracture, which they splinted. Whilst the team were busy deploying to the previous incident, a further call was received from North Yorkshire Police to assist with a visitor (M, 14yrs) at the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk who had been taken ill whilst on the trail. The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a walker (F, 40) who had slipped whilst descending Little Ingleborough. The casualty had sustained a painful lower leg injury and was unable to continue her walk down.
