Three walkers (m, 20, 20, 18) reported themselves lost in thick mist, heavy rain and strong wind while attempting to walk the Three Peaks. NYP were able to provide a grid reference which placed them on Simon Fell, to the NE of Ingleborough. A Three Peaks walker (f, 37) slipped on the descent from Pen y ghent, sustaining an ankle injury. She was assisted to the gate above High Birkwith Farm and NYP was asked to call CRO. A climber (f, 32) fell from one of the routes on the lower quarry face at Storrs Common, sustaining lower leg injuries. A YAS crew was on scene and an air ambulance was en route when the CRO Duty Controller was called. Paramedics having treated and ‘packaged’ the casualty, team members transported her to the road ambulance on a CRO wheeled stretcher. Volunteer hours: 15
