A Three Peaks ‘charity walker’, last seen at 07.30 and heard from while ‘descending Whernside’ at 17.20, was reported missing by someone waiting with transport at Horton car park. A telephone call and a PhoneFind text were not answered, so two team members would set out to do a preliminary check along the road route. A walker (m, 72) became unwell after climbing almost to the top of the steps up the side of Malham Cove. After assessment by YAS paramedics, he was walked very gently back down with support from team members.
