Concern was expressed for a walker, described as ‘struggling’ on the steps coming off Whernside. His wife had expected to meet him at the Station Inn, Ribblehead, but ten minutes after the CRO duty controller was alerted, he spoke to the walker who had just phoned his wife to say he was in Horton in Ribblesdale. After climbing on Giggleswick Scar and during the descent from the crag on foot, a woman fell down a two metre drop and tumbled about another twenty metres on a steep scree slope. Having suffered multiple grazes and bruising, but no other apparent injuries, she was able to make her own way down to the road with a little assistance from CRO members. Volunteer hours: 10
