INCIDENT 21/2022 – APRIL 9th Sat 12.39 Alongside Gordale Beck, Malham,  North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

UWFRA forwarded a call from YAS for a walker (m, 30) who had sustained a knee injury while walking alongside Gordale Beck, downstream of Gordale Scar. His location was confirmed using the Phonefind app.  As he was unable to put weight on the injured leg, team members administered pain relief, splinted the leg and put the casualty into an insulated casualty bag. INCIDENT 20/2022 – APRIL 3rd Sun 15.56 Simpson’s Pot, Thornton in Lonsdale, North Yorkshire – Cave Incident

A group of two adults and six teenagers was reported overdue on a ‘pull-through’ trip from Simpson’s Pot to Valley Entrance in West Kingsdale. As team members were responding, news was received that they had just emerged, ‘safe and well’, so all stood down. Volunteer hours: 10  

INCIDENT 19/2022 – (same day) 16.34 Path to foot of Malham Cove, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

A walker (f, 74) tripped on the beck-side path to the foot of Malham Cove, falling forwards. Putting her hands up to arrest the fall and protect her face resulted in an injury to one shoulder / upper arm.
