A member of the public reported finding a visitor (m, 37) on the ground, with ‘chest pains, unable to move, poor speech and had been dizzy then fallen’ on the path near Thornton Force. A visitor reported that her husband (67), a keen fell-runner but un-familiar with the area, had gone for a run up Ingleborough and not returned to Chapel le dale over an hour after the arranged time of 16.00 hrs.. Two walkers reported themselves ‘lost on Ingleborough after doing Three Peaks and believe both suffering from hypothermia’. They also said that Google maps showed them ‘0.3 miles from Low Sleights’. Their 999 call had gone to Lancashire Constabulary and was passed to NYP to call CRO.
