A number of Team members were assisting with a local fell race on Pen y Ghent, near Horton in Ribblesdale. This is an annual event for our local fell running community, at which we are always pleased to help. North Yorkshire Police called the team to assist a walker (m, 62) who had slipped going over a stile and tumbled about 12 feet, injuring his back. When the team arrived our brilliant colleagues from Yorkshire Air Ambulance were already on scene providing care.
