A group of walkers told the farmer at Newby Cote that they had ‘heard a lamb stuck down Fife Pot and it sounded to be in distress.’. INCIDENT 20/2022 – APRIL 3rd Sun 15.56 Simpson’s Pot, Thornton in Lonsdale, North Yorkshire – Cave Incident

A group of two adults and six teenagers was reported overdue on a ‘pull-through’ trip from Simpson’s Pot to Valley Entrance in West Kingsdale. As team members were responding, news was received that they had just emerged, ‘safe and well’, so all stood down. Volunteer hours: 10  

INCIDENT 59/2021 – AUGUST 6th FRI. 17.14 – WHITE SCAR CAVE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – CAVE INCIDENT

A visitor (f, 20) slipped at the far end of White Scar Cave, sustaining a lower leg injury.  Show cave staff assessed and treated the casualty’s injured leg and moved her to within 300m of the cave entrance.
