Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked the team to assist with a walker (m, 89) who had fallen and injured his shoulder on the footpath near Janet’s Foss. Team members attended ready for the expected stretcher carry, but some astute local knowledge allowed a team vehicle to drive right to the casualty’s location. A walker (f, 59) fell while crossing a wall, injuring her right shoulder and back. Two team members attended and carried out an initial assessment before transferring care to Yorkshire Air Ambulance paramedics who arrived shortly thereafter.
