The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a member of a school party (M, 12) who had fallen on the track near to Ingleborough Cave and injured his shoulder. The team were made aware of a person (m 80’s) who had collapsed on the nature trail. As the team were preparing a response they received a further call to say the person had been brought down to Clapham by the nature trail staff and no further assistance was required.
Snowfall throughout the night of Friday 9th December was lying several centimetres deep by Saturday morning. That afternoon, a walker slipped and fell on compacted snow on the nature trail between Clapham village and Ingleborough Cave. Her fall caused her to fracture her left ankle, creating significant misalignment of her foot.
