INCIDENT 73/2024. SEPTEMBER 26th THU. 10.37 hrs. DEAN MOOR, MALHAM MOOR, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

An expeditioner (f,15) sustained an ankle injury while walking on a footpath over Dean Moor to the North East of Langscar Gate. Fortunately, two of the supervisory staff were members of other mountain rescue teams, so they splinted the injury, gave pain relief and sheltered the casualty in an expedition tent while calling CRO through North Yorkshire Police. INCIDENT 71/2024. SEPTEMBER 21st SAT 23.52 hrs. HORTON SCAR LANE, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE

North Yorkshire Police tasked the team to assist a walker (m, 46) descending from Pen y ghent who was unable to continue due to the combined effects of a pre-existing medical condition and exhaustion.  With the walker’s location known and accessible by off-road vehicle, two members in a team Land Rover attended and transported the walker back to Horton in Ribblesdale. INCIDENT 66/2024. SEPTEMBER 7TH 12:10 HRS. Penyghent, NORTH YORKSHIRE

The team was alerted by North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to assist a walker (F, 34) with a suspected ankle fracture. After speaking to the reporting party and use of phonefind it was established that the incident was on Penyghent.
