The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist with a visitor (F, 30) who had slipped whilst on the Waterfalls Trail and hurt her ankle. She was unable to put weight on the ankle or continue her walk. Team members attended , treated the walker and stretchered her to an ambulance waiting nearby. Whilst deployed at the previous incident, the Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to an incident at Beezley Falls near Ingleton. A canyoner (F, 17) had slipped from rocks into a pool, injuring her shoulder. The Team received a call from one of our members at the Red Rose CPC hostel, at Bull Pot Farm, that a party of 8 cavers (2m and 6f, 20-29) on the ‘Easegill Traverse’ caving trip between Lancaster Hole and Wretched Rabbit were overdue. A walker (m, 30) fell a reported 10m including ‘three somersaults’ while climbing the final rock band at the south end of Pen y ghent, losing consciousness for approximately 30 minutes. His companion and other walkers helped keep him warm until team members arrived. They assessed the casualty and immobilised him in a vacuum mattress before putting him into an insulated casualty bag and on to a Bell stretcher. The…
