The team was alerted by North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to assist a walker (F, 34) with a suspected ankle fracture. INCIDENT 65/2024. AUG 31ST SAT 23.10 HRS. WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

With team members still assembled at the Depot from Incident 64, North Yorkshire Police notified the team of a second group of seven walkers (f) missing on Whernside.  Inquiries suggested that a group of three had descended into Kingsdale, while the other group of four was on the summit ridge.  Two team members in a team vehicle  located the group of three on the road near Yordas Cave in Kingsdale. …

INCIDENT 57/2024. AUGUST 8th THURS 13.09 HRS. BELOW BEEZLEY FALLS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

North Yorkshire Police called the team to assist a canyoner (f, 14) who had fallen about 9 metres into the River Doe.  Her group leaders had brought her out onto the bank, where she was complaining of back pain.  Team members attended together with paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.  After a check by the paramedics the team stretchered her back to the YAS ambulance for further assessment, using a…
