An aspiring Three Peaks walker (m, 39) called North Yorkshire Police, who called CRO, reporting that he was on the descent from Ingleborough towards Horton in Ribblesdale, ‘4 miles from the bottom’ and that he had ‘fallen over and broken finger, going into shock. INCIDENT 03/2023 JAN 22nd  SUN. 14.05 DESCENT PATH FROM WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE –  MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A walker (f, 37) tripped and fell, head first, on the rocky first section of the path from the summit ridge of Whernside towards Bruntscar. YAS sent their rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance, then called CRO. They were joined, later, by a road ambulance. The air ambulance being first on scene, the pilot flew up towards the cloud base and deposited his paramedics about 100m from the casualty.…

INCIDENT 93/2022  DEC 10th SAT. 14.52 INGLEBOROUGH ESTATE NATURE TRAIL, CLAPHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Snowfall throughout the night of Friday 9th December was lying several centimetres deep by Saturday morning. That afternoon, a walker slipped and fell on compacted snow on the nature trail between Clapham village and Ingleborough Cave.
