A climber (m, 75) walked up to the Giggleswick Scar (North) crag, but collapsed immediately on arrival. Despite the best efforts of his companions at CPR, then the protracted efforts of YAS paramedics, he could not be revived. A visitor (m, 60), with known medical conditions, was suspected of having a possible heart attack after climbing the steps into the Battlefield Chamber at the extremity of White Scar Cave. Team members, the two fire officers and a police officer attended and the patient was found to be conscious and breathing. A three peaks walker (m, 59) collapsed on the steep path onto Ingleborough at Humphrey Bottom. Almost immediately, his wife began CPR and this was continued by paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance, when they arrived. The first CRO members on scene found that paramedics from a YAS road ambulance were also in attendance.
