A group of two adults and six teenagers was reported overdue on a ‘pull-through’ trip from Simpson’s Pot to Valley Entrance in West Kingsdale. As team members were responding, news was received that they had just emerged, ‘safe and well’, so all stood down. Volunteer hours: 10
A trail-riding motorcyclist (m, 60) caught his wheel in a rut, causing him to collide with a wall, while riding along the Turbary Road in Kingsdale. CRO members responded when the rider was reported to have arm and back injuries. During their re-ascent of the vertical Rowten Pot, the first of a party of 3 cavers became stuck at a point where their access rope was re-belayed to ring anchors embedded in the wall of the pothole.
