Incident 44/2018 – Jul. 14th Sat 09.54 Nr Grey Gill, Gordale, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

Almost as soon as the lamb-rescue group was committed to the 2 km off-road drive to the Gritstone Pot area of Ingleboroough, a member of an expedition group (f, 15) was reported to have a knee injury, above the path from Gordale Bridge towards the Malham Raikes road. Incident 19/2018 – Apr. 20th Fri. 16.02 Gordale Scar, Malham, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A walker (f, 42) slipped on wet rocks at the beck edge, between the two waterfalls in Gordale Scar, sustaining a painful shoulder injury. Having been given pain relief and with her shoulder immobilised, the patient was able to walk up to the top of the Scar with assistance and encouragement from team members. She was helped into the waiting air ambulance for the flight to hospital.       …

Incident 87/2017 – Dec. 1st Fri. 12.25 – Gordale, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker(m) collapsed 300m from Gordale House. As team members arrived, despite attempts at CPR by other walkers and the road ambulance crew, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance doctor had sadly declared the individual to be deceased.
