A Three Peaks ‘charity walker’, last seen at 07.30 and heard from while ‘descending Whernside’ at 17.20, was reported missing by someone waiting with transport at Horton car park. A telephone call and a PhoneFind text were not answered, so two team members would set out to do a preliminary check along the road route. INCIDENT 61/2025. JULY 13th SUN. 15.33 hrs. SNOW FALLS, WATERFALLS TRAIL, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE

North Yorkshire Police called the team out to assist a walker (f,35) who had slipped and injured her ankle on the path below Snow Falls.  Team members attended and assessed the casualty, administered pain relief, and splinted the ankle.  They then stretchered the casualty to a team Land Rover which took her and her party back to their own vehicle for onward transport to hospital. INCIDENT 60/2025. JULY 12th SAT. 15.22 hrs. WHERNSIDE, CHAPEL LE DALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

North Yorkshire Police asked the team to assist with a Three Peaks walker (m,63) suffering from exhaustion on the descent of Whernside.  Team members attended and located the walker on the summit ridge, considerably higher up the fell than the initial information had suggested.  The walker was assessed and given fluids and high-energy food, after which his condition improved.  He attempted to walk off with assistance from team members, and…
