A passer-by called for an ambulance and his companions made him as comfortable as possible, while waiting. A member of the public reported having seen a lamb stuck down a pothole on Newby Moss and provided a grid reference for the location. A small team of CRO members undertook a quick search of the general area and located the lamb, marooned down Fluted Hole.
