In the early hours of the morning, Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) asked if CRO were able to assist one of their crews. Their ambulance had become stuck on a track following attendance at a remote farmhouse. INCIDENT 93/2022  DEC 10th SAT. 14.52 INGLEBOROUGH ESTATE NATURE TRAIL, CLAPHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Snowfall throughout the night of Friday 9th December was lying several centimetres deep by Saturday morning. That afternoon, a walker slipped and fell on compacted snow on the nature trail between Clapham village and Ingleborough Cave. Her fall caused her to fracture her left ankle, creating significant misalignment of her foot. INCIDENT 92/2022  DEC 8th THU. 13.32 SHERIFF HILL, off RAKES ROAD, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A walker slipped, fell over and injured her ankle whilst on the path between the top of Malham Cove and the Malham Rakes road. A CRO team member was able to unlock the field gate adjacent the road and drive a vehicle to the injured walkers location. She was taken down to Malham village for onwards travel, to hospital, in a private car. Volunteer hours: 7
