A distressed walker with medical problems was encountered by other people as they reached the summit of Whernside. Thanks to the support of several walkers, she reached the top of the steep descent path. CRO members then took over the support for the slow, safe walk down to a team Land Rover. The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to a report of an overdue caver in the Gaping Gill system. Whilst the Duty Controller was making initial enquiries the reporting person got back in touch to confirm that the caver was now safely back on the surface. No action was needed by CRO.

The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to a report of a walker (m) who was found having a medical episode by a passing cyclist on the path across Kirkby Fell. Team members were able to drive CROs 2 and 3 along a track to within a few hundred metres of the casualty and, after an assessment by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance doctor, stretchered the casualty to CRO 3…

A walker (m, 51) slipped at the beginning of the ascent up the Swine Tail, sustaining a deformed ankle fracture. CRO 4 (Honda Pioneer) was driven up onto Little Ingleborough carrying three team members. They continued on foot to the casualty site above the hand-gate leading to Humphrey Bottom, meeting the Air Ambulance crew who had already arrived and begun assessing and treating the injured walker.
