CRO was asked by our colleagues in Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with a search for a missing person in and around the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough. A climber (f, 20) on Giggleswick Scar North fell approximately 4m, injuring her left ankle. Team members attended and determined that the awkward climbers’ path back to the car park was unsuitable for a stretcher carry.
