While competing in the Three Peaks Race, a runner (m, 20) tripped on the approach to the summit of Pen y ghent, having run up via Horton Scar Lane. A Three Peaks walker (m, 41) sustained a particularly painful lower leg injury when he slipped or tripped at the beginning of the path across Simon Fell Breast — the path from Ingleborough to Sulber Nick and thence to Horton in Ribblesdale.
