INCIDENT 47/2021 – JULY 10th SAT. 22.05 – INGLEBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police received a call from an obviously distressed Three Peaks walker (f, 32) who said she was lost on Ingleborough. INCIDENT 43/2021 – JULY 3rd SAT. 11.46 – BETWEEN HIGH BIRKWITH AND OLD ING, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A Three Peaks walker (f) was reported to have broken an ankle, between High Birkwith and Old Ing, North of Horton. A small team went to investigate, with other members asked to show their availability. When the team Land Rover arrived on scene, the casualty was already in a YAS road ambulance, so everyone was stood down. Volunteer hours 6.  

INCIDENT 41/2021 – JUNE 26th SAT. 08.24 – PEN-Y-GHENT (LAST CLIMB TO SUMMIT), NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A Three Peaks walker (f, 34) slipped on the last climb (the second tier) of the ascent of Pen-y-ghent, falling about 3 metres and landing on her hip. Locations given were variable, but members headed for Dale Head and Churn Milk Hole and either walked all the way up or were ferried part-way up the hill in the Honda Pioneer. INCIDENT 37/2021 – JUNE 20th SUN. – HUMPHREY BOTTOM, INGLEBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A Three Peaks walker (f, 43) slipped on the path ascending Ingleborough, above Sunset Pot, sustaining an ankle injury. A small team went up in CRO 4 (the Honda Pioneer), followed by one of the Land Rovers. Other members waited at the road-head in Chapel-le-Dale, but were not needed. The injured leg was splinted and the patient assisted onto a wheeled stretcher for the short ride down to the Pioneer.…
