A visitor to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (f, 54) twisted her ankle on the climb up the steps above Thornton Force, leaving her unable to walk.  After assessment by a team doctor, she was splinted and assisted into a stretcher with wheel attached.  Team members carefully eased the stretcher back down the steep steps.  They then wheeled the casualty back down the trail to a team Land Rover for transport…

INCIDENT 43/2023 JUN. 10th SAT. 09.46 HULL POT, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE. ANIMAL INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police called for assistance in rescuing a sheep which had fallen into Hull Pot.  A small team was dispatched.  While one team member abseiled approximately 18m down to the sheep and persuaded it into a flight bag, four other team members set up a hauling system.  The sheep was brought to the surface and turned over to the farmer who owned it, looking somewhat dishevelled from its experience…

NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen.
