The team were called by NYP to assist with a 17yr old male with an ankle injury close to the summit of Ingleborough. The team responded and evacuated the male down to Chapel Le Dale for onward transport by the rest of his party to hospital for further examination. We wish him a speedy recovery Volunteer hours: 48
The team were called by YAS to assist with a 65yr old male walker who had slipped between Dean Moor Hill and Coomb Hill in the Malham area. On arrival the team were deployed to the area but the party had made their way to a waiting YAS ambulance. Volunteer hours: 28
The team were called out by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist them with a visitor (F,55) who had slipped on the waterfall at Scaleber Force, near Settle. On our arrival at the scene, paramedics from both YAS and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were also in attendance. The team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to 3 walkers (2m, 1F) who had become disorientated in mist on the summit of Ingleborough. The party were otherwise uninjured but unable to find their way safely from the summit plateau to the correct path for their downward journey. Our Duty Controller was able to contact the group, and by use of our Phone Find tool to find their exact location.…
