INCIDENT 09/2026. FEBRUARY 8TH SUN 14:00 HRS, STACKHOUSE, SETTLE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
The team were called by north Yorkshire Police to assist with a walker (F 60) who had slipped off a stile sustaining a lower leg injury. Team members assessed and splinted the leg then carried her a short distance to the road. She was then taken in a team vehicle to Settle where a family member would arrange transport to hospital. INCIDENT 08/2026. FEBRUARY 2ND MON. 14:09 HRS. QUARRY WOOD, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE
A member of the public reported a sheep stuck on a ledge in a disused quarry near Ingleton. The team gave the sheep an opportunity to self-rescue. When it did not do so, team members attended and, having discussed the situation with the farmer, set up a rope rescue system. The team were called by North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to a lost walker (m,14) who was doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and had become separated from his group, was unsure where he was, and had a nearly flat phone battery.
