The team were called by YAS to assist with a 65yr old male walker who had slipped between Dean Moor Hill and Coomb Hill in the Malham area. On arrival the team were deployed to the area but the party had made their way to a waiting YAS ambulance. Volunteer hours: 28

On our arrival at the scene, paramedics from both YAS and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were also in attendance. The team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to 3 walkers (2m, 1F) who had become disorientated in mist on the summit of Ingleborough. The party were otherwise uninjured but unable to find their way safely from the summit plateau to the correct path for their downward journey. Our Duty Controller was able to contact the group, and by use of our Phone Find tool to find their exact location.…
Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked the team to assist a walker (m, 74) who had collapsed on the Three Peaks route above High Birkwith. Despite the best efforts of family members, other walkers, team members, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew, the casualty could not be resuscitated. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
