INCIDENT 33/2019 – May 11th. Sat. 10.16hrs – Brackenbottom, Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

A walker (m 29), training for an attempt of the 3 peaks walk, announced to his colleagues “I think my heart has stopped” and promptly collapsed. He was on the path above Brackenbottom Farm and his colleagues started CPR and kept this going until the arrival of Yorkshire Ambulance Service Paramedics, who were successful in restarting the casualties heart. INCIDENT 32/2019 – May 9th. Thu. 15.11hrs – Waterfalls walk, Ingleton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

A walker (F75) tripped and fell on the Ingleton Waterfalls path, not far downstream from Snow Falls. She was reported to have much bleeding from a head wound. The casualty had been well bandaged by another from her group and following an assessment by CRO team members, it was decided that she may be able to walk out with some assistance. INCIDENT 29/2019 – Apr. 27th. Sat. 15.43hrs – Whernside, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

Meanwhile back on Whernside as team members were about to leave from incident 27, 3 walkers (1 M, 2 x F) were reported as needing assistance down the steep final sections, where  a waiting vehicle transported them to the Hill Inn to arrange their own transport back to Horton.   3 volunteer hours

INCIDENT 25/2019 – Apr. 22nd. Mon. 11.36hrs – Janet’s Foss, North Yorkshire – Mountain Incident

The team were requested to assist by Yorkshire Ambulance Service when a walker (m,72) fell and sustained a head injury near Janet’s Foss. The team were mobilised by the duty controller, but as the first vehicle arrived at Malham Visitor Centre (our local RV point), we were stood down by YAS, as they had been able to walk the casualty with assistance to the road ambulance.
