INCIDENT 03/2021 – Feb. 4th Thu. 01.04 – Malham Cove, Malham, North Yorkshire. – Mountain Incident

North Yorkshire Police requested CRO’s assistance after they found a missing person (Sadly, deceased.) at the foot of Malham Cove. Team members searched an area at the top of the Cove for personal effects and carried the deceased by stretcher, then by team Land Rover, to the road-head for handing over to the undertaker. FATAL. INCIDENT 86/2020 – Dec. 30th. 02.28 – Lythe Fell Road, Lancashire. – Local Incident

Lancashire Constabulary asked CRO to investigate a request for help when a man and two small children became stranded in their car on Lythe Fell (on the High Bentham to Slaidburn road, 8 km / 5 miles South of High Bentham). INCIDENT 85/2020 – Dec. 28th. 17.36 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Local Incident

NYP received a report of an orange flare over Ingleborough and asked CRO to investigate. Although doubtful that anyone would be in distress, given how few walkers carry flares and the other methods of communication available, these days, controllers recorded the registration marks of vehicles parked around the hill.
