INCIDENT 73/2023 AUG. 31st THU. 13.37 MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A visitor (f, 69), with a known medical condition, climbed the steps at the side of Malham Cove, but collapsed on reaching the top. When team members arrived, she had recovered significantly. After assessment by YAS paramedics, the patient was carried by stretcher to an air ambulance which flew her down to Malham for transfer to a road ambulance and the journey to hospital for further assessment. INCIDENT 72/2023 AUG 28 MON. 18.47 FLUTED HOLE, NEWBY, NORTH YORKSHIRE – ANIMAL INCIDENT

A passing walker reported that a lamb was stranded in the bottom of Fluted Hole on the South side of Ingleborough. A small team set off in CRO 4 (the Honda Pioneer), but came to a sudden halt in a grip (drain) cunningly concealed under vegetation. A couple were walking on the field path from Lambert Lane to Upper Settle, with their dogs, when a group of young cattle began running towards them.
