A runner in the Three Peaks Race (f, 50) sprained an ankle on the descent from Pen y ghent towards High Birkwith and was understood to be ‘one mile from Birkwith’. INCIDENT 76/2021 – SEPTEMBER 28th TUE. 13.53 – ‘THE HOPE LINE’, GISBURN FOREST – LANCASHIRE, MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Finding himself short-handed after a mountain biker (m, 38) was dismounted in a collision with a tree near Hesbert Hall, the team leader of Bowland Pennine MRT called CRO for support. Team members attended and when NWAS paramedics had assessed and treated the casualty, who had been unconscious and had sustained suspected arm and collar-bone fractures, they assisted with carrying him to the road ambulance. INCIDENT 75/2021 – SEPTEMBER 21st TUE. 19.05 – DESCENT FROM INGLEBOROUGH, HORTON in RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A three peaks walker (f, 22) was reported to have fallen, sustaining an ankle injury, on the descent from Ingleborough towards Horton in Ribblesdale.
