INCIDENT 84/2025. OCTOBER 2nd THURS. 17.23 hrs WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

North Yorkshire Police called the team to assist a walker (m,17) who had slipped and injured his ankle and knee descending Whernside toward Bruntscar.  Team members ascended to the casualty’s location just off the summit ridge, where they assessed and packaged the casualty.  The team then sledged the casualty down to the roadhead on a Bell stretcher and handed him over to Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics for further care.  A…

INCIDENT 73/2025. AUGUST 28th THURS. 12.11 hrs BARBON BECK, BARBON, CUMBRIA.

Team members assisted our colleagues in Kendal Mountain Rescue Team with a Cumbria Police request for a search for a missing person near the boundary of our respective operational areas.  Following a period of bankside and woodland searching, the team was stood down. Volunteer hours: 70

INCIDENT 61/2025. JULY 13th SUN. 15.33 hrs. SNOW FALLS, WATERFALLS TRAIL, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE

North Yorkshire Police called the team out to assist a walker (f,35) who had slipped and injured her ankle on the path below Snow Falls.  Team members attended and assessed the casualty, administered pain relief, and splinted the ankle.  They then stretchered the casualty to a team Land Rover which took her and her party back to their own vehicle for onward transport to hospital. INCIDENT 60/2025. JULY 12th SAT. 15.22 hrs. WHERNSIDE, CHAPEL LE DALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

North Yorkshire Police asked the team to assist with a Three Peaks walker (m,63) suffering from exhaustion on the descent of Whernside.  Team members attended and located the walker on the summit ridge, considerably higher up the fell than the initial information had suggested.  The walker was assessed and given fluids and high-energy food, after which his condition improved.  He attempted to walk off with assistance from team members, and…
