A caver at a pot-hole club hostel reported that eight overseas cavers were three hours overdue on a trip into Shuttleworth Pot, beneath Leck Fell. A 70 year old walker was reported overdue and missing by his companions. He had set off from Chapel-le-Dale at 6.30am, on what was the hottest day of the year so far, to walk the three peaks route starting with an ascent of Ingleborough.
