INCIDENT 44/2023 (same day) 15:43 ABOVE THORNTON FORCE, THORNTON IN LONSDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE. MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A visitor to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (f, 54) twisted her ankle on the climb up the steps above Thornton Force, leaving her unable to walk.  After assessment by a team doctor, she was splinted and assisted into a stretcher with wheel attached.  Team members carefully eased the stretcher back down the steep steps.  They then wheeled the casualty back down the trail to a team Land Rover for transport…

INCIDENT 37/2023 MAY 29th MON. 12.40 Nr PECCA FALLS, THORNTON IN LONSDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE. MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A CRO duty controller and two NYFRS officers were working on the risk assessment elements of an emergency plan for the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail when a visitor asked for help. His partner (f, 32) had sustained an ankle injury and was unable to put weight on it. They assisted her to a team vehicle and returned the pair to their own car to seek medical assistance. INCIDENT 27/2023 MAY. 1st MON. 14.03 BEEZLEY FALLS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE, MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Yorkshire Ambulance Service called CRO for assistance, following a report of a walker (m, 30) who had collapsed and was experiencing difficulty in breathing, below Beezley Falls on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. As the first team members arrived at the rendez-vous point, YAS said that their crew did not need assistance, so team members stood down. Volunteer hours: 7
