A participant in a field studies course (f,50) slipped and injured her ankle on rocky ground above Malham Cove. Despite help from other members of her party, she was unable to walk. A Three Peaks walker (m, 60) lost his footing on the steep, rocky path to the summit of Pen y ghent, falling about two metres and landing on his head, shoulder and arm. He sustained shoulder, opposite wrist and slight head injuries and lost consciousness for a few minutes. North Yorkshire Police contacted CRO regarding a report of a Three Peaks walker who was ahead of someone else, but had not arrived at his car when the second walker arrived there.
