A family’s 5-year old German Shepherd went just off the path, slipped down the slope, then plunged into the river, just below Pecca Falls. It was last seen just above Pecca Bridge. A woman, walking up the steps next to Pecca Falls became unwell, and lost consciousness. The team were tasked by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist crews in extricating the casualty. Whilst the casualty was treated by YAS and air ambulance paramedics, the team prepared a stretcher, and then carried the casualty to a team vehicle via the old Pecca slate quarry.
