INCIDENT 2/2024 JAN. 14TH SUN. 10.34 HRS. PEN-Y-GHENT SIDE, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT.

North Yorkshire Police asked the team to assist a walker (m, 53) who had slipped and injured his leg descending the track from Pen-y-ghent toward Hull Pot.  Team members used CRO4, the team’s all terrain vehicle, to reach the casualty who was conveniently right beside the track.  After assessment by a team cas carer and splinting, the casualty was assisted into CRO4.  He was then driven to Horton for onward…

INCIDENT 87/2023 DEC. 3rd SUN. 15.12 YORDAS WOOD, THORNTON IN LONSDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) called the team to assist with an unconscious caver (f, 22) who had fallen on her way to Yordas Cave. In snowy conditions the team assisted YAS with treating the casualty who had regained consciousness and was suffering mild hypothermia. The team then placed her in a warm casualty bag and, making use of the snow, quickly sledged her off the hill in a Bell stretcher.…

ALERT ONLY. DECEMBER 2nd SATURDAY 1638HRS. OTHER TEAM AREA – CUMBRIA. ALERT NO. 13 OF 2023

The team were alerted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to an adult female with a suspected broken ankle. The given What 3 Words (W3W) reference put them in the Airton area. However following initial enquiries by the Duty Controller the incident appeared to actually be on Cross Fell in Cumbria.
