The Team were called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a visitor (M, 25yrs) who had tripped and dislocated his knee on the top of Malham Cove. A visitor (f, 78) suffered a medical event near the foot of Malham Cove. An ambulance was called and YAS asked CRO to attend, also. Members in the first team vehicle reached the casualty site very soon after the paramedics began their assessment of the patient, who seemed to be improving. She was assisted to the team vehicle and driven to Town Head Farm for transfer to the road ambulance.…
A visitor (f, 69), with a known medical condition, climbed the steps at the side of Malham Cove, but collapsed on reaching the top. When team members arrived, she had recovered significantly. After assessment by YAS paramedics, the patient was carried by stretcher to an air ambulance which flew her down to Malham for transfer to a road ambulance and the journey to hospital for further assessment. A walker (m, 73) missed his footing on the edge of the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove, hitting his head on the rock and suffering lower leg and wrist abrasions.
