A walker (f, 60) slipped on wet limestone, twisting her knee, so that she couldn’t walk. Having immobilised her leg, CRO members helped her onto a stretcher and sledged/carried her to a team vehicle, then drove her down to Malham car park, to meet the road ambulance. A visitor (f, 22), having almost completed the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, slipped on the path below Storrs Common, sustaining a suspected fracture of the left ankle. After treatment by YAS paramedics, she was stretchered to a team vehicle, then driven to the Community Centre car park, transferred to a road ambulance and taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment. A walker (m, 48) slipped on steep ground, sustaining a dislocation fracture to his right ankle. Another walker used his ‘personal locator beacon’ to call for help.
