Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) asked for assistance when a walker (m, 54) experienced chest pains on Horton Scar Lane — a popular walking route to and from Pen y ghent. After assessment by YAS paramedics from the Air Ambulance the patient was carried the short distance to the helicopter, which flew him directly to hospital. INCIDENT 8/2024 March 9th. SAT 0835. HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a medical incident involving a young infant (F, 7 months) in Horton-in-Ribblesdale village, the family having been out walking locally.  Local team members were despatched and a vehicle deployed from the the Team Depot in Clapham. INCIDENT 3/2024 FEB. 4TH SUN. 17.58 HRS. PEN-Y-GHENT, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

North Yorkshire Police asked the team to assist two walkers (m,20s) who were stuck on the steep and rocky south shoulder of Pen-y-ghent.  Two other members of their party (m,f,20s) had gone up to assist them, but the group was unable to move due to high winds and poor visibility.  Team members, struggling to stay on their feet in the wind, located the group at the edge of the summit…

A walker ( stated as f, 14) believed she had ‘a fractured foot’, soon after leaving Pen y ghent summit on the descent towards Hull Pot.
