A mountain biker (m, 60) hit a patch of ice while descending towards Helwith Bridge on an evening ride. He was catapulted from his cycle and dislocated a shoulder. Team members administered analgesics and immobilised the injury, before helping him into a team vehicle and driving him to meet a YAS road ambulance, down at the road-head. Natural England reported a ewe stranded in an un-named cave entrance whose stream runs into the Alum Pot system. In the evening, four CRO members went up and wrestled the sheep out, taking care not to drive it further in and into the stream-way. Volunteer hours: 8
