INCIDENT 87/2025. OCTOBER 25th SAT. 16.18 hrs INGLEBOROUGH, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE

Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked the team to assist with a walker (f,61) who had taken a tumbling fall coming off the summit of Ingleborough and sustained arm and facial injuries. As team members headed up toward the casualty’s location from the Hill Inn, our brilliant colleagues at Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended and transported the casualty to a waiting ambulance for onward transportation to hospital. A walker (f, 68)  took a fall, high on the path from the summit of Whernside towards Bruntscar, sustaining an apparent head injury. By chance, an off-duty paramedic (also a member of a neighbouring mountain rescue team) was walking nearby and was able to assess the patient and specify what equipment would be needed for the evacuation. A visitor (f, 56) slipped on wet rocks, at the edge of Malham Beck, close to Malham Cove, landing on her face, gashing her nose and dazing herself.
