INCIDENT 83/2021 – NOVEMBER 7th SUN. 10.34  DESCENT FROM PEN-Y-GHENT, HORTON-IN-RIBBLESDALE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

Having dispatched an air ambulance and a road ambulance, YAS called CRO to a walker (f, 33) who had fallen on the descent route from Pen y ghent towards the top of Horton Scar Lane, sustaining a facial injury and a deep scalp wound. When the first team members arrived at the casualty site, the patient was being treated by paramedics. She was then assisted to the helicopter and flown down to Horton playing field for transfer to the road ambulance. The first CRO Land Rover was used to bring the casualty’s partner and dog back down to Horton, while the second, having been held back in the village, was returned to Base.
