A 70 year old walker was reported overdue and missing by his companions. He had set off from Chapel-le-Dale at 6.30am, on what was the hottest day of the year so far, to walk the three peaks route starting with an ascent of Ingleborough. North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue declared a major incident relating to the significant number of wildfire events in the county during the period of very hot weather. INCIDENT 54/2022 19th TUE. 00.43 RIBBLEHEAD, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT
CRO were called to help search for a vulnerable missing person who had last been seen at 18.55 the previous day. When CRO arrived at Ribblehead we discovered that the missing person had just approached two police officers and was in their care. A paramedic volunteering for CRO checked the persons medical condition and continued to monitor him until the arrival of Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Volunteer hours: 34
