INCIDENT 55/2022 19th TUE. 19.37 THREE PEAKS, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A 70 year old walker was reported overdue and missing by his companions. He had set off from Chapel-le-Dale at 6.30am, on what was the hottest day of the year so far, to walk the three peaks route starting with an ascent of Ingleborough. He was last seen at 10.45am by the old school in Horton-in-Ribblesdale where he had stopped to rest and eat. His companions’ attempts to contact him…

ALERT only 19th Tue. 19.00 – NORTH YORKSHIRE – ALERT No 3 of 2022

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue declared a major incident relating to the significant number of wildfire events in the county during the period of very hot weather. All rescue teams operating within North Yorkshire were put on standby to potentially give logistical support. Teams were stood down the next morning. Volunteer hours: 1

INCIDENT 54/2022 19th TUE. 00.43 RIBBLEHEAD, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

CRO were called to help search for a vulnerable missing person who had last been seen at 18.55 the previous day. When CRO arrived at Ribblehead we discovered that the missing person had just approached two police officers and was in their care. A paramedic volunteering for CRO checked the persons medical condition and continued to monitor him until the arrival of Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Volunteer hours: 34
