An expeditioner (f,15) sustained an ankle injury while walking on a footpath over Dean Moor to the North East of Langscar Gate. A walker (m, 58) fell from one of the ‘Norber boulders’ (glacial erratics) and sustained a serious ankle injury. As team members arrived at the road-head, an air ambulance was circling overhead. Arriving at the casualty site with a team stretcher (etc) they used it to carry the already ‘packaged’ patient to the helicopter for the flight to hospital.
