Incident 74/2016 – Sep. 10th Sat. 08.05 – Pen-y-ghent, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a 3 peaks walker who had apparently suffered a seizure and unconsciousness whilst ascending Pen-y-ghent. The team responded, and assisted Yorkshire Air Ambulance staff to get the casualty into Helimed 99. The patient was then transferred to a road ambulance at Dale Head. Incident 71/2016 – Sep. 3rd Sat. 21.07 – Ingleborough, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

Concern was expressed for two Three Peaks walkers (f, f, ‘mid twenties’) descending to Sulber Nick, one in trainers and with a twisted knee. Incident 69/2016 – Aug. 27th Sat. 15.55 – Malham Moor, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue.

While the Ingleton incident was on-going, a walker (f, 59), on the Pennine Way south of Water Sinks, was reported to be collapsed, unconscious and having CPR administered. A small group of CRO members, who were with the team’s display trailer at Malham Show, arrived on scene very soon after the air ambulance and road ambulance. Sadly, resuscitation was unsuccessful.
