Bowland Pennine MRT passed on a request to rescue a lamb which had fallen 20m down an un-named abandoned dig southwest of Whitmore Pot near Whitewell, Bowland Forest. A small team attended and two cavers descended, locating the lamb down a narrow rift beyond a constriction. A visitor (m, 60), with known medical conditions, was suspected of having a possible heart attack after climbing the steps into the Battlefield Chamber at the extremity of White Scar Cave. Team members, the two fire officers and a police officer attended and the patient was found to be conscious and breathing. A CRO duty controller and two NYFRS officers were working on the risk assessment elements of an emergency plan for the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail when a visitor asked for help. His partner (f, 32) had sustained an ankle injury and was unable to put weight on it. They assisted her to a team vehicle and returned the pair to their own car to seek medical assistance.
