INCIDENT 66/2018 – Dec. 1st Sat. 15.36 hrs – Near Quarry Pond, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, Ingleton, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue
A call was received from North Yorkshire Police to reports of a man suffering shortness of breath and palpitations. Just after the team was mobilised, and as the first team member arrived at the location, the team was stood down, as it became clear our services were not required. A sheep was reported to be stranded on a ledge about 30m up on the quarry face and may have been there for two days. Two Three Peaks walkers (m, 27; m, 21) reported themselves lost in the dark, two hours after leaving the summit of Ingleborough, intending to finish at Horton in Ribblesdale.
