The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to a report of a climber (f,56) who had fallen the last 5ft to the ground whilst being lowered from a climb route, and sustained severe back pain as a result.
The casualty was given analgesia and placed in a vacuum mattress, and then carefully laid onto a Bell stretcher for a controlled lower to the roadside down a wooded scree slope, for transfer to a Yorkshire Ambulance Service ambulance. She was then transported to Airedale Hospital for definitive treatment.
